This was one of the first pieces Gimpy and I made

Close up of Gimpy, what character in that face!

Here he’s giving what we call “the skinny look”

Sunrise in the Keys

Doug, his Father figure

Gimpy always promises to do the dishes after breakfast, but
as he breaks too many , we let him out of that duty.

He loves the camera!

Gimp creating this piece, he’s always cooperative as long as there’s a treat

Prepping the clay…Both egrets and pelicans weigh very little, maybe 4-5 lbs., the clay must be very wet, almost soupy, to get an imprint when they walk on it. I think I’ve finally got the right mix.

A part of our family for six years now, Gimpy has made our house his home, when he’s around.

Gimpy loves watching Ellen Degeneres, he has a really good sense of humor!

Scruffy sillouette

Scruffy and me opening the kiln. He watched where I frequented, and always made himself available, afraid of missing anything!

Scruffy spent a hurricane afternoon with me . I was working, he was perching.

Horatio, the first egret to come into the yard and house Here he is in mating plumage, how handsome!

Scruffy guarding the kiln

Gimpy usually accommodates me when I have a project.

At sunrise , Gimpy  stands in the doorway until Doug or I get up to make the coffee.

People may believe that the artwork we make is random walkings on big slabs of clay. This picture of Gimpy “dinnerware” proves it isn’t!

Gimpy is always polite.

Not quite a couch potato, but getting there…

Gimpy loves watching TV. I know you won’t believe it, but he does!
Nice shot with Horatio and the water spout, it was as if he were posing, like a tourist

Atticus, heron and full moon. We don’t invite him into our home, preferring to visit with him outside. Herons are ssoooooooo messy!

Sunrise with Gimpy, it only gets better…

What can I say? He’s a ham!

Gimp y dinnerware… this photo shows that Gimpy really responds. I had not even given him a treat and he just walked up on the clay

Here Gimpy is giving you the ”skinny look” Notice right-side –up,  and right-side down, the eyes look almost the same! I have seen those upside down eyes, peering at me from the roof above…

The final touches on an artwork in progress
